modot

How modot calculates

Where do prices come from?

Every 6 hours modot loads each platform's public pricing pages. An AI reads the pricing page and turns it into a fixed schema – but only when the page changed since the last check. Platforms that only show prices after login are maintained by hand and labelled as such. modot only lists offers anyone can use with a subscription or credit pack – no developer APIs and no vendor access that requires business verification.

Turning credits into money

Every platform sells credits through subscriptions or packs. We divide a plan's price by its credits to get the price per credit. “With annual plan” uses the best credit price the platform offers (usually a large annual plan). “Cancel monthly” uses the cheapest plan without a yearly commitment – more realistic if you only need a few clips.

Cheap, normal or pricey?

Every price is compared with all providers of the same model in the same variant. Best price is the cheapest exact price. Cheap means at least 15% below the average, pricey at least 15% above it, everything in between is normal.

Comparable units

Video is compared per second and images per image – each split by resolution or quality tier. Euro prices are converted with the current ECB reference rate.

Guarding against errors

If a price jumps by more than 60%, we only publish it once the next check confirms it. If a check fails, we keep showing the last known price and mark it as stale.

Which models?

Only models that are at most 4 months old. We keep the model catalog up to date.

No guarantee of accuracy. Platforms change prices, promotions and credit costs often – check the price with the provider before you buy.
